Nokia E71 Gtd

my ubiquitous mobile computer

Meeting request and why we need to initiate them . . .

Testing out my new E71, I setup Mail for Exchange(Nokia’s native activesync client) and I’m also trialing Dataviz’s Roadsync 4.0, conclusion Roadsync reigns in as the champion Exchange client for Symbian S60 but when I went to initiate a meeting request with one of my contacts I realized that I could not, why is that Symbian ?. If you’re gonna go through all the trouble of emulating MS Exchange why not add this simple functionality which is key in day to day business communications. I guess that’s why Windows Mobile is still king of hill and don’t get me wrong Symbian S60 is a great OS but I’m so curious, how are they handling this missing feature at the Nokia Headquarters and the multitude of other business’s that rely on Nokia as their main communicator eg. Nokia E90 and the rest of the E series, hmm, these are things that make you think ! Somebody please enlighten me. Let’s say we are at a client’s office or we just received a spreadsheet with some sales figures from a vendor, we quickly review those in Quickoffice 6.0 and edit any numbers and email it back to the person but on top of that, I would like to initiate a “meeting request” with that person so we can meet and discuss this topic further. I know that we can accept or deny meeting request but why can’t we initiate them and that’s the question that Nokia and Dataviz need to answer and quickly come up with a solution if they really want to play hardball with Windows Mobile and stick it to them. Nokia and Dataviz please make this happen soon !!!
